Bangladesh witnessed a historic milestone in inclusive sports as the country successfully organized the “1st Para Sports Carnival 2026” for the very first time.
The mega sporting event was jointly organized by the National Paralympic Committee of Bangladesh and the Bangladesh Cricket Board through its Physically Challenged Wing. The carnival brought together more than 500 para-athletes and specially-abled cricketers from across the country, creating a vibrant celebration of talent, determination, and unity.
The event showcased various sporting activities and competitions designed to encourage participation, empowerment, and recognition of athletes with disabilities. Participants from different districts joined the carnival with great enthusiasm, turning the occasion into a powerful platform for inclusion and inspiration.
Honourable State Minister for Youth and Sports, Mohammad Aminul Haque, attended the অনুষ্ঠানে as the Chief Guest. In his speech, he praised the initiative and emphasized the government’s commitment to developing inclusive sports opportunities for all citizens.
Sports organizers, athletes, and guests described the carnival as a landmark step toward strengthening Bangladesh’s para sports movement and inspiring future generations of athletes.
The successful completion of the “1st Para Sports Carnival 2026” marks a new chapter for adaptive sports in Bangladesh, reflecting the nation’s growing dedication to equality, resilience, and sporting excellence.
